Privacy Policy
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We are committed to protecting your privacy. The Car Owner App collects the following types of data to provide
you with financial and mileage tracking tools:
- Personally Identifiable Information (PII): Information such as your name, personal email
address, and phone number provided during account creation.
- Location & Tracking Data (Optional): To provide automated mileage tracking, the App
utilizes background location access. This feature is strictly optional and can be disabled at any time in
your device settings.
- Bluetooth Integration (Optional): The App offers a "Smart Trigger" shift reminder. If
enabled, the App monitors your local Bluetooth connection solely to detect your vehicle and alert you to
start a shift. It does not scan or harvest broader Bluetooth network data.
- App Diagnostics & Usage (Optional): You may opt-in to share diagnostic information, such as
crash logs and session durations, to help us improve the App. This is separate from location data and can be
toggled off at any time.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use your data strictly to operate the App, calculate projected tax deductions, and store your logbook safely.
- No Sale of PII: Your Personally Identifiable Information will never be
sold, rented, or given away to third-party data brokers.
- Anonymized Data: If you utilize our optional GPS tracking, we may collect, aggregate, and
monetize anonymized telemetry and driving data. This aggregated data is assigned a randomized ID and is
strictly detached from your personal identity, rendering it completely anonymous.
3. DATA STORAGE & SECURITY
Your logbook data, including photos of receipts and odometers, is stored locally on your device and securely
backed up to our enterprise-grade cloud servers (Google Firebase) to prevent data loss. We utilize
industry-standard encryption to protect your account.
4. DATA RETENTION & DELETION REQUESTS
You have the right to control your data. If you wish to delete your account and all associated logbook data, you
may do so directly within the App's settings menu, or by contacting our support team. Upon requesting account
deletion, all personal data and financial logs will be permanently removed from our active servers.
