Terms of Service

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By downloading, accessing, or using the Car Owner App ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time to reflect new features, including future e-commerce and delivery functionalities.

2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

The App provides digital logbook tools, AI-assisted receipt and odometer transcription, optional GPS mileage tracking, and tax estimation calculators for independent contractors and gig-economy workers.

Future Functionality: The App will expand to include an e-commerce marketplace facilitating the purchase, discount-tiering, and on-demand delivery of automotive parts and supplies.

3. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE & ACCURACY DISCLAIMER

The App utilizes Artificial Intelligence (AI) to transcribe data from photographs (e.g., odometers, fuel receipts, and maintenance bills) and GPS to track mileage.

• AI Fallibility & Required Verification: AI transcription is not 100% accurate. You acknowledge that AI outputs are provided strictly as a convenience. You are strictly required to visually cross-reference and double-check all AI-generated inputs and manually edit them if necessary before saving them to your logbook.
• Tax and Financial Liability: We are not a licensed accounting firm, tax agency, or financial advisor. The App utilizes current standard tax rates to calculate projected deductions and estimated tax liabilities based solely on the raw data you input. These calculations are provided strictly for informational and organizational purposes. We make no guarantees regarding the legal eligibility of your logged miles or expenses under IRS tax codes. Your actual tax liability and the validity of your deductions are strictly a matter between you and the IRS (or your local tax authority). You are solely responsible for the accuracy, categorization, and legality of any data submitted to tax authorities.

4. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY & DATA LOSS

While we utilize enterprise-grade cloud architecture to secure your data, no digital system is entirely fail-safe. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free or that data loss will not occur. We are not liable for any lost, corrupted, or deleted shift logs, receipts, or financial data. Users are strongly encouraged to utilize the App's "Export" feature to maintain personal backup records (e.g., CSV files) for tax purposes.

5. SUBSCRIPTIONS & BILLING

Access to certain features of the App requires a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed automatically on a recurring basis through your respective app store (Google Play or Apple App Store).

6. SAFE DRIVING OBLIGATION

The App is designed to track data silently in the background. You agree not to interact with, type into, or photograph using the App while actively operating a moving vehicle. You are solely responsible for adhering to all local traffic laws and safety regulations.
